Heine Rosdal Avdal

Heine Røsdal Avdal studied dance, choreography and video at the Oslo National College of the arts and at P.A.R.T.S. in Brussels.
He has worked as a performer for various companies in Norway. In 1997-2001 he joined Meg Stuart's company Damaged Goods, collaborating with Gary Hill and Ann Hamilton in the scope of the creations Splayed Mind Out, appetite and Highway 101.
In 2000, Avdal created a duet with Yukiko Shinozaki, Cast off skin. From 2002 onwards he has been working together with Christoph De Boeck in the scope of their own collective deepblue. In 2002-2003 he created together with Mette Edvardsen, Liv Hanne Haugen and Lawrence Malstaf the performance installation Sauna in Exile.
In 2004 and 2005, Avdal developed the performance installation Box with holes and IN_LINE. He is currently touring with a new project: some notes are with residencies and performances in Yokohama, Beijing, Yogiyakarta and several cities in Europe.
