Box With Holes.

How do we see and experience human interaction in a world in which we increasingly use technology to connect to each other? Box With Holes explores the relationship between touch and its visualisation. The installation attempts to produce a kind of dislocation of the senses that triggers an alternative mental state. The aim of the performance is to offer visitors a physical experience through touch, an intimate, anonymous experience that feels real, but looks and appears different through the use of video.

The deepblue collective is interested in the balance between human and technological forms of communication. All deepblue productions contain traces of this destroyed opposition between organic and artificial realms.

The initial installation prototype was created by Heine Røsdal Avdal, Oliver Bokan and Andra Perrin in a research laboratory called Now you can have the body you've (n)ever wanted at Tanzquartier Wien.
