Tomás Aragay

(Barcelona, 1968). Studies theatre direction and dramaturgy at Superior Drama School of Barcelona (Institut del Teatre). Co-founder with Roger Bernat of the already extinguished theater collective General Elèctrica (1996-2000). Winer of the fist price from the Choreographic Contest of Madrid with the piece Cruza cuando el hombrecito esté en verde (1997) and the Author's price of Seine-Saint-Denis with the piece John Kovak state of emergency (France, 1999). Since 2000 co-directs with Sofía Asencio Societat Doctor Alonso, presenting the works: Tomorrow will be like today, Shoping bread, Sobre la bellesa, Santa Sofia, el solo d'una ignorant, Sobre la mort, El traspiés de Luisa y Volum II, Retrats o si jo fos, Club Fernando Pessoa, Àcid Folklòric. Since 2001 is artistic director of the collective Cèl•lula and of the Festival Mapa. Scriptwritter of the films Krampack, En la ciudad, Ficció y blog, with theses last ones he was nominated in 2000 and 2001 for Goya awards in the cathegory of best script.  Since 2002 he teaches script writting at the ESCAC (Escuela Superior de Cine y Audiovisuales de Cataluña).
