Pierre-Yves Diacon

Pierre-Yves Diacon has initially developed himself as breakdancer and acrobat (since 1991).
He has performed with several crews in the underground hip-hop scene and for different sort of public events (demonstrations, street-shows and spectacles), notably in Switzerland, France, Italy, Canada and the Netherlands.
Pierre-Yves studied in Amsterdam in the SNDD (School for New Dance Development), where he obtained a Bachelor degree of Art in choreography in 2007.
There he found new impulses as mover and new tools to work on the body, the scenography and the dramaturgy. Thus, he started to develop his own work as author.
Pierre-Yves has presented some of his creations (Interrupted #1; Le Soupir de la Créature; Interrupted #2) into international festivals.
As well, during these 4 years, Pierre-Yves danced with/for others artists within the contemporary dance field: Katie Duck, Kenzo Kusuda, Gabriella Maiorino, Vincent Verburg, Nora Heilmann, Nita Liem, Sylvain Meret et Makiko Ito.
