Kyung-sun Baek

Kyung-sun Baek was born in 1975 in Korea. Since 2001 she has been living in Europe. Attended the School for New Dance Development( 2001 to 2003) in Amsterdam. She is a member of the Magpie music dance company(Amsterdam) as well as an independent artist and teacher based in The Netherlands. As a dancer she has been involved in several projects with choreographers like Jeong-ho Nam, Sin-Ja Hong, Soung-soo Ahn,  Robert Steijn, Carolien Hermans, Hooman Sharifi, Trust Company, Min Tanaka, Amy cox, Pere faura, Guillem Mont de Palol among others.
Improvisation with  Katie Duck, Michael Schumacher, Sylvan Meret, Bertram Dhellemmts, and others.  As a choreographer, she presented her own work Full enough(2002), Fresh fish in the freezer(2003), Melting stone(2007),Matter of states(2008). She combines making her own research work with teaching and collaborating with other makers.
